While walking downtown near our hotel my wife came across a nice little find. Downtown Houston is host to a great little get together of food vendors every Tuesday and Wed. Most of the time usual food fairs are filled with unhealthy deep friend foods, but this was actually different. All the venders were locals trying to drum up some business for themselves and keep things fresh and easy. I spotted several tents doing yummy fresh salads, tasty wraps, and even just some good old fashion grilled chicken. There was some fresh goat cheese for sale, spices, and yummy fresh juice mixes. It was pretty cool.
a lot of cities do this now and I thing its great. It's always fun to support local eateries and this is a great way to do it.
