My wife and I got inspired with this burger and decided to see if we could come up with a low-carb version of it ourselves. I think it turned up pretty awesome. We grilled up some burgers put on a little bit of sugar free jelly with some low-carb peanut butter and wrapped it up in a tortilla with a couple strips of bacon inside. It was so easy I can't believe we had not done it sooner.
There's a great burger place near us called Slaters 50/50. We discovered it not too long ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. They specialize in using bacon in their burgers. One of the things that they have that really stands out from all other burger places is the peanut butter, jelly, and bacon burger. It's fantastic. The first time I had this burger I literally couldn't get it out of my head for 2 to 3 days afterwards. If you decide you're going to try the peanut butter and jelly bacon burger there is a couple things you got to be sure to get right. The first thing is that you got to get the right jelly. Get yourself some sugar free jelly and don't hesitate putting the right amount on. You want your burger sweet. The second thing is peanut butter. Go for peanut butter that's more natural so it'll be low on carbs and something creamy so gets nice and melting and melts off the burger. We thought about using lettuce to wrap these things but it didn't seem appropriate seeing as how peanut butter and jelly were involved. We went ahead and went with the low-carb tortilla approach. These aren't the type of burgers you want to have every single day but they make for a nice treat and if you play your toppings right they can end up being a nice 5-10 carbohydrates each. If you have the guts try them, i promise these will haunt your dreams.

Sounds very intriguing. People turn their noses up at my peanut butter, banana and mayo sandwiches which are absolutely delicious. I am going to have to try these now!

I love the banana and PB thing. The mayo makes me nervous, but I think I have learned to not think twice when peanut butter is envolved. :)
