Keto and Co Riced Broccoli is just that rice broccoli. It's like a shave off the florettes of broccoli stocks dry it out and put in the bag. So what I think. Well I wasn't a big fan of the stuff. There's a couple reasons.
The first thing that didn't sit well with me it's just the fact that broccoli is a lot wetter and absorbent then cauliflower. Also when riced the pieces are much smaller. When I put my chicken curry on top of rice broccoli it essentially became overwhelmed with the taste of broccoli. The broccoli absorbs a lot of the liquid and disperses throughout the entire mix of vegetables and chicken. This could be something someone else might love but for me it took away from the actual curry taste.
The next reason I wasn't crazy about it was the smell. I think from it being dried out if produce a unnatural smell that regular broccoli doesn't seem to have. And maybe I was being oversensitive and maybe I am even dreaming some of this up, but my nose could not handle the smell.
My wife seem to eat the stuff pretty well. She didn't seem that concerned about any of the things I'm talking about so I do believe that this stuff would be great for anyone else. My personal taste is if I'm going to do something as a rice substitute, I want it to taste pretty close to rice. Cauliflower seems to do that much better than broccoli does.
