The second bar was not as good. 60% Smooth dark Chocolate it was a bit fruitier at the beginning which was nice and was a little bit more sweet. But the after taste was not quite a good as the previous bar. I may have been wrong about these bars. For being 0 carb, they aren't too bad.
I know a thing or two about chocolate. You can believe me or you don't have to. But it's a fact.
The second fact is this, I like dark chocolate. I don't think it's gross like some people do and I actually enjoy the taste. I have had different varieties of dark chocolate so I understand it's complex complexities and it's notes. I know that some dark chocolates can be more bitter than others. I've taken all this into account.
Last fact, this chocolate is not good. It's called Innocent Chocolate and they call it that because it actually has negative carbs. I don't understand the science behind it and I don't know how it works. What I do know is that it doesn't taste good. Maybe it's the lack of carbs that actually makes it taste weird but the aftertaste it left in my mouth was very strange. I was actually drinking coffee at the time and usually coffee does a good job to accentuate the different notes in chocolate. After I took a bite of this chocolate and then proceeded to have a drink of coffee the taste in my mouth resembled that of slightly burnt popcorn. I'm not even joking. That was the taste.
All that to say is I'm all for products that go low-carb and even help me in my low-carb diet, but I will gladly take a few carbs in my chocolate if that means it will not taste like garbage. I also don't think they should call this innocent chocolate. It is very very guilty.
