There's a burger place by me in Southern California that seems to be popping up in new locations all the time. Five Guys Burgers and Fries claims to do one thing much better than all of its competitors. Five Guys claims that its burgers and fries are always made fresh when you order them and only using the freshest ingredients. My wife and I decided to have lunch there the other day and I decided it would be a great time to try and see the options that Five Guys has for the low-carb eater. I went ahead and ordered their regular bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions, ketchup, mustard, and tomatoes. My biggest fear is always that a burger place doesn't have a proper system for wrapping their burgers. Some burger places just look at you with that dumb look on their face when you ask for a wrapped burger. I won't lie, I feel as though I got that look from the waitress here when I placed my order, but she was just surprised that I wanted to turn down such a delicious bun I suppose. I can't blame her for thinking that way actually.
I guess the other low is that they aren't really that cheap. A burger by itself can be five bucks. That's with no salad, side, or anything. In and Out Burger could get you two burgers for that price. Even so, they taste may be worth the price.
If you go to Five Guys the customization of your burger is super easy and they don't charge for any of the ingredients except cheese and bacon. So you can make your burger just the way you want. And since Five Guys is currently the number one rated burger in America these places are popping up all over the place, so you should find one near your area very soon.
