I never tried the bacon sandwiches, but I did keep a regular stock of the sausage sandwiches for mornings when I couldn't cook. Too many times I either cooked them too long, causing the bread to harden like a rock, or cooked them too little, causing part of the sandwich to remain frozen, so I haven't had any of the sandwiches in a long time.
In the past few months I've grown fond of the Atkins pizzas. I toast them in the toaster oven instead of microwaving them, and they are excellent. They do, however, contain wheat, which I'm minimizing in my diet, so the Atkins pizzas will be a rare treat from here on out.
That's awful that your Walmart no longer carries Atkins frozen meals! I've been thinking about buying a breakfast sandwich maker so I can cook my own sandwiches, either using a wheat-free bread or putting slices of ham or bacon on the outside, with egg and cheese on the inside. Would make a great start to the day when time is short.
Glad to see you back with the blog, and congrats on the new baby!
Yes they have been discontinued. At the Winn dixie by my home, they have them half priced. They come out to $1.68 each box. I am going by tomorrow in the morning to grab some. I lost a lot of weight low carbing but regained by doing it the expensive way (using Atkins products) so now I am doing it the cheap way :) Less than $2 for those sandwiches will be a start!
I think they did I can't find them either. I used to eat them all the time.
