Pywiack Krackers Savory Review

Pywaicky Krackers Savory crackers pack a lot of flavor. But above all I really enjoyed the crunchiness of these. I ate mine with some sour cream dip and it was a great snack. Perfect for a lazy Sunday watching the game, or in my case, watching a movie. The crackers had great taste on their own too and were pretty filling. Some of the better flax crackers I have had.

Brooklyn Biltong Steakhouse is a beef jerky that is based of South Africa's version of  jerky. This stuff is super yummy and has great flavor with a slight sweetness that gives it the Steakhouse flavorings. I have tried several different jerkys and this one was one of the best. Extremely tender and fresh.

Souther Recipe Spicy Dill Pork Rinds Review

Dill flavor is an aquired taste for some. Yet it seems to be growing in popularity for many people. I see more products every day that have dill as a go-to flavor. It makes sense that in time Dill would show itself in some Pork Rinds.

Southern Recipe Spicy Dill Pork Rinds are pretty good. The flavor is not too strong and has a decent dill taste. And like the names says it does have some spice in it. I was a bit intimidated in trying these but in the end liked them. What stood out the most was the actual consistence and perfectly fried nature of the pork rind. Super fluffy and crunchy. Not too hard. These were perfect.

I myself am not a huge dill fan, but I would go back to these to change up the flavor in the house simply based on the quality of the pork rind.

Crazy Go Nuts Buffalo Walnuts Review

Walnuts don’t often come up on my radar for a snack. They probably should. They are low carb and can be yummy, but usually I go with the easier to find peanuts and Almonds. But the Crazy Go Nuts company should be on your radar today. They make some great unique snack flavors for their walnuts and they are loaded with yum. I recently tried the Crazy Go Nuts Buffalo Walnuts and at first I was a bit nervous that I would like them. But they have so much great flavor in these that I easily could have eaten the entire bag in a single setting.

Sweet Cheat Hot Chocolate Review

Tis the season for a hot sweet treat in a warm cup. Hot chocolate is the way to go and nothing says the holidays more than a cup of sweet cocoa. But alas, most of the hot chocolate in the stores are loaded with sugar and other ingredients that end up loading your sweet treat with extra carbs. And along with that, some of the low carb options just don’t cut it. Well folks, if these ae the issues you have dealt with in the past, I got the Hot Chocolate for you.

Sweet Cheat Hot Chocolate is a low carb hot chocolate that help fulfill a sweet craving and keeps the carbs low. But this particular drink does something that none of the other drinks have been able to do before, namely taste like good rich hot chocolate. I mixed mine with unsweetened almond milk and was thrilled that I did. A deep cocoa taste that coats your mouth and feels like melted chocolate is in the cup. Its sweet too but doesn’t have a strong weird aftertaste. Really yummy.

There is a slight catch, at least there was for me. Namely, because of the sweeteners in the cocoa, it tended to give me some gas. For some I could see some cramping coming. It wasn’t unbearable, maybe for my wife, but it is something to be aware of. A way to fix this might be to lessen the amount of powered you add to your cup.

Regardless of that, this stuff is super yummy and totally worth it. Some of the best top notch low carb hot cocoa I have ever had.

December Keto Krate Review

If you read this blog you know that I am constantly on the look-out for Low Carb products that meet my lifestyle and help to make my life a bit easier. Saving time on cooking, and having a variety of snacks available help to make the diet a bit easier on myself so I don’t get bored with the same old things. So when I discovered that there was a new subscription service that sends you products that fit within the low carb lifestyle I was on board.

Keto Krate is a new subscription box that is available in the long list of to your door monthly box subscriptions that is specifically geared towards the Keto and low carb lifestyle. They guarantee that all items in the box will be less than 5 carbs per serving and that the value of the collected items products will always exceed the cost of the box.

My desire to find some new snacks that were low carb is really what made me decide to give it a try, that plus who doesn’t like a surprise now and then.

My review's for the individual products in this box will be cut short here. I will be doing more in-depth reviews on each product and share links to those reviews here as I complete them. Right now I just want to talk about this month's box and what I got as a whole.

So every box has a nice little welcome card that explains all the items you received and then usually has some promo codes in case you need more of something. I have already found myself using this for a snack I receive in my last box that no one carried in the stores near me. I had to have some more so having a little discount was great to give me the incentive to get some shipped to me.

Lots of great items this month and a couple that I was pretty excited to try out. So what was in my box this month?
Shrewd Food Protein Crisps - Brickoven Pizza - I always love a chip substitute. And Pizza Flavor? Yes please!
Legendary Foods Cheddar Bacon Almonds - These guys make the yummys almonds. I'm excited to try a new flavors. Mmmmm Bacon.
Bunker Hill Buffalo Crunchy Cheese Crisps - I love Cheese Crisp. Never tried Buffalo, but I bet these are wonderful.
Stoka Vanilla Almond Bar - I guess this is a protein bar. The packaging tells me nothing. So I do not know how I should feel.
Good Dees Peanut Butter Cookie - Ive had these. They are pretty good. Probably the best of the Good Dee brand cookies.
Coco Polo Hazelnut Chocolate Bar - Coco Polo makes good chocolate. But I fee like they just sent this to me recently.
Fat Snax Chocolate Chip Cookies - These are fine. I had these before. I feel like they were really crumby. I could be wrong.
Keto Bars Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar - Sure. I like tiring new bars. Why not.
Choc Zero Keto Bark Peanuts - this looks fancy. And this company does great low carb chocolate. Looks like this could be "the good stuff". Cant wait to try it

A decent box. Nothing too adventurous that I haven't seen before. But lots of chocolate. So that nice. I love when they send back good like the cookies. It usually lasts a bit longer. Not my favorite box, but maybe when I try the items I will enjoy them more. So stay tuned.

Natural Heaven Veggie Pasta Noodles Review

12/14/2018

Pasta options are hard to find. We are seeing more and more show up every day, but finding ones that are truly low carb and Keto friendly are hard. I was excited to see a new option that is as low carb is it claims. Natural Heaven Veggie Pasta is made of Palm Hearts and is very low carb. The taste is very mild and seems to absorb whatever you cook it with. It has the same consistency of pasta but a slightly different texture that you get from coming the Palm veggies. It's almost a slight grit to it.

I have had a few other pasta substitutes and this was not my favorite. Not bad if you really want to have something closer to a noodle, but not great. I personally would be more in line to use a Veggie pasta like zucchini or another brand. I can be a bit pickier on texture than others though. If something feels off and not like it is supposed with my food, it can ruin the whole experience.

I would say that if you are hard up for a pasta substitute this is fine, but personally I don’t need it enough to come back to these.
