My experience with the Loca Chocolate Chip Cookie was not ideal. First off the poor cookie was a little bit smashed together. It crumbles all to pieces as soon as I opened the bag. I took one of the pieces and popped it into my mouth. the first taste was a bit bleh. It has Stevia in it which I have never been a huge fan of. The tastes of chocolate are good, but its not quiet enough to make me want to finish this thing. I think it's kind of bland because of the almond flour. Thats a big deal. After all it is a cookie. Some people will probably like these, but I have tasted enough cookie substitutes to know that there is a better one out there.

This Beef stick was good. But it's not much different from others out there. Closer to a Slim Jim more than anything. 4 out of 10.
Not quite a brownie and not quite a typical protein bar the Keto Brownie Chocolate Almond Crunch Nutrition Bar is a bar that lives in a bit of a middle area. It's soft and chewy and sweet to the taste with a slight cocoa and chocolate base. Yet it's not quiet a brownie which for some reason what I was expecting a but more of. It was decent but it didn't have enough of a strong after taste or even experience for me to really want to seek out this brand again. Honestly I can't even remember if this bar had nuts in it or not. Decent but nothing to exciting. 5 out of 10.
If you read this blog you know that I am constantly on the look-out for Low Carb products that meet my lifestyle and help to make my life a bit easier. Saving time on cooking, and having a variety of snacks available help to make the diet a bit easier on myself so I don’t get bored with the same old things. So when I discovered that there was a new subscription service that sends you products that fit within the low carb lifestyle I was on board. Keto Krate is a new subscription box that is available in the long list of to your door monthly box subscriptions that is specifically geared towards the Keto and low carb lifestyle. They guarantee that all items in the box will be less than 5 carbs per serving and that the value of the collected items products will always exceed the cost of the box. My desire to find some new snacks that were low carb is really what made me decide to give it a try, that plus who doesn’t like a surprise now and then. My review's for the individual products in this box will be cut short here. I will be doing more in-depth reviews on each product and share links to those reviews here as I complete them. Right now I just want to talk about this month's box and what I got as a whole. ![]() So every box has a nice little welcome card that explains all the items you received and then usually has some promo codes in case you need more of something. I have already found myself using this for a snack I receive in my last box that no one carried in the stores near me. I had to have some more so having a little discount was great to give me the incentive to get some shipped to me. Lots of great items this month and a couple that I was pretty excited to try out. So what was in my box this month? The first thing I see when I pop open this Krate gets me excited. Low Carb hot Chocolate! That Sounds wonderful! I have had Rawxies a few times and it's a pretty good snack. Usually the flavor is great too. Sarayo is a yummy substitute on a sandwich or my personal favorite on a turkey burger. Spicy and hot. I love Pork Rinds so I can't wait to try some new flavors. Another beef stick is fine. although they all taste the same after a while. A Chocolate Chip Cookie sounds fun and yummy. Hope its soft and not to hard. Olives are a great snack and I love the idea of ones that have some unique flavor to them. Lastly some yummy Jerky. I love it when it's spicy so I hope this one has a little heat to it. EDIT: Since posting this review I was contacted by the Innocent Chocolate Company. They sent me some new bars to try that were fresh and mailed with care to ensure they arrived quick so I could enjoy while they were new. Obviously great service. I will say that I tried two of their bars in this taste test. The 77% Dark Cocao bar was the winner of the night. My wife and I both thought that it had better taste and flavor and wasn't as gritty as the last time. My wife said she could taste notes of fruit in the cocoa which was nice. The second bar was not as good. 60% Smooth dark Chocolate it was a bit fruitier at the beginning which was nice and was a little bit more sweet. But the after taste was not quite a good as the previous bar. I may have been wrong about these bars. For being 0 carb, they aren't too bad. Original Post 7/2/17
I know a thing or two about chocolate. You can believe me or you don't have to. But it's a fact. The second fact is this, I like dark chocolate. I don't think it's gross like some people do and I actually enjoy the taste. I have had different varieties of dark chocolate so I understand it's complex complexities and it's notes. I know that some dark chocolates can be more bitter than others. I've taken all this into account. Last fact, this chocolate is not good. It's called Innocent Chocolate and they call it that because it actually has negative carbs. I don't understand the science behind it and I don't know how it works. What I do know is that it doesn't taste good. Maybe it's the lack of carbs that actually makes it taste weird but the aftertaste it left in my mouth was very strange. I was actually drinking coffee at the time and usually coffee does a good job to accentuate the different notes in chocolate. After I took a bite of this chocolate and then proceeded to have a drink of coffee the taste in my mouth resembled that of slightly burnt popcorn. I'm not even joking. That was the taste. All that to say is I'm all for products that go low-carb and even help me in my low-carb diet, but I will gladly take a few carbs in my chocolate if that means it will not taste like garbage. I also don't think they should call this innocent chocolate. It is very very guilty. This was a pretty good meat stick. It had a fair amount of moisture in it which I like and the garlic taste was nice too. They definitely had some good flavor in it. I would give you a more in-depth review, but my daughter stole half of my stick out of my hand. So I'm not sure I got enough time with taste. But I think I liked it. seems like a fact company. DiMario Snack Sticks. Look em up!
Hey these are some pretty fancy peanuts. I liked the flavor a lot. Really different from any other type of had before. Not overwhelming but still something different. I don't even really know what bay spice means. I guess it supposed to take like the bay? Thats sounds gross. These are better than that. Regardless I enjoyed the whole bag. Pizootz Bay Spice Peanuts are a nice new way to enjoy an old snack. Great little pouch to have at my desk too. Try them out!
I think this is probably the third of these Quest cereal bars have tried. Really haven't had any bad experiences with any of them. The fact is they are a dry protein bar that has the texture of cereal. I think that is great. It's surely filling out a niche that I don't think existed really before. The Quest Chocolate Cereal Protein Bar one in particular doesn't have much that stands out. I'd much rather have a couple of the other flavors. But it's still a nice variety and the carbs are pretty low so I can't complain about that part. I would say this probably is very similar to the inside of the Atkins cookies and cream bar only without the chocolate coating. Decent.
As far as I know there are no other low-carb sugarfree sports drinks on the market. Thiss the only one I've ever found. Ketone.io is the first of its kind. So how does it taste? Well let's talk about it. This is what went though my head as I was drinking it.
1. Wow this is great strawberry taste. A little sweeter than I expected. 2. Well this is kind of nice and refreshing I don't ever get sports drinks. 3. Are all sports drinks sweet like this? I can't remember it's been a while. 4. Isn't this stuff supposed be closer to water? You know, to keep me hydrated? Is this doing that? 5. I can't drink this anymore Maybe my wife wants it. 6. Boy I could go for a glass of water. Yep so all in all not crazy about it. Too sweet for me. Nice attempt though. I don't know about you been it's been a while since I had a peanut butter cookie. Well that changed. Fat Snax Peanut Butter Cookie is a great substitute for those of us missing cookies in their life. And you get two thin ones in a pack so you can share if you have to. Or if you're like me you're Wife will just take one. I walked into this thinking that it would probably have a strong artificial sweetener taste, but these guys nailed it. Not too much of a sweet taste just lots a good peanut flavor. I would do these again if they were in my area. Of course if anyone wants to bake me cookies and send them to me I'll be happy to try those as well, as long as your are low-carb. ;)
