Lately I have had several readers ask me which low carb tortillas I use. I use to be a big fan of Mission Tortillas low carb style but after I found the brand Carb Chopper I have not gone back. They taste just like flour tortillas and are a decent size. No weird after taste like some low carb tortillas have. I love them! They also have wheat.
While you drink this chocolate shake, it tastes good. It's chocolately and tasty like it should be. It has a little bit of that taste that comes with diet shakes but nothing awful, but its not aweful. Where this shake fails for me is in the aftertaste. For some time after drinking this I have a wierd taste in my mouth left over. It's a chalky taste and its not good. Unlike the berry flavors or coffee flavors that may also leave an aftertaste, those are more pleasant than this. I can't help but think it might give me weird breath too. Am I the only one that feels this way about this one. Again, taste good while I drink it, but moments after its done it leaves an after taste I could definitely do without.
Storms a coming. (spoken as old surly sailor)
Ok maybe not a storm, but changes for sure.
Today is my last day at my current job. I will miss the people I have worked with but it's time for a change. My wife and I are going to begin a pretty interesting adventure together. This past fall my wife had been working on a short tour of the show Peter Pan starring Cathy Rigby. She worked as a stage manager on the show and did a lot of backstage work for it. You may have read some of her blog about that time on the road. Well the tours happening again and I get to go with her and help out. I'll be spending time selling merchandise for the tour so if you happen to see the show coming to a city nearby you can come say hi at my booth and even drop off some low carb chocolate. ;)
Being on the road with a tour will provide some challenges though. Sticking to a routine and a schedule will be tricky but I plan on still living a low carb life. I will still be blogging too but you may not see as many recipes here as my major tools for cooking will be a microwave in a hotel. There will probably be some new reviews of places across the country that I haven't been able to write about in the past because they didn't exsist in California. I figure if I can still eat Low Carb on a year long road trip then whatever I am eating should be perfect for my blog and those of you that read it.
Anyway, it's going to be different, it's going to be an amazing adventure, and I can't wait to see where it takes my wife and I.
One thing that is for sure, I will be rolling a lot of t-shirts.
