Adapt Fat Shot Coconut Flavor

So I tried this thing called an Adapt Fat Shot. It's super weird. I wasn’t really sure what its purpose was. Like, how am I supposed to use it? Is it meant to be eaten alone as a snack? Is it meant to give me energy? Is this a butter? What is this stuff? I decided to go to the company's website to see what they referred to it as.

"Used as a meal, snack as well as a pre, during or post workout addition” open package and consume as is or in addition to other foods, i.e. full cream yoghurt.

I can't imagine that one of these tiny packets could actually act as a meal replacement and not leave you starving later on, but I could be wrong. When I tried it I used it as a snack. It was a little warm from being in my pocket for a bit. It essentially came out liquid and tasted like a melty nut butter that was infused with coconut taste.

The taste wasn’t that bad really it actually had quite a bit of flavor. But again, it's probably not going to do a whole lot to fill you up. Perhaps after a workout it could help to fill a hunger.

I don’t really have a lot of need for something like this as long as I have peanut butter in the kitchen. Still some people that want to make sure they are using foods and snacks without a lot of artificial ingredients may like something like this.

Have you had this before? Let me know what you think about the Adapt Fat Shots.

Eating one right now and had the same thought... "how am I supposed to eat this?" Doesn't say anything on the pouch so I tried just taking a little bite. Not a bad taste but way too much like eating straight butter/oil to me.

I'm not currently doing strict keto so I went to the vending machine and got a bag of pretzels and finished the pouch by dipping pretzels into it. Tasted pretty good with the addition of the pretzels.

If I had been doing strict keto, I probably would have thrown the pouch away after that first taste, couldn't bring myself to eat it straight.

I also don't really like the packaging. There's a little tear where you're supposed to rip it open, but even after pushing all the stuff down to the bottom there was still some at the top. The tear didn't work so I had to use scissors. Then getting the stuff out was messy, couldn't get it all of it to squeeze out.

Not sure what they could do better but overall I'm not impressed and probably would not buy this on it's own (I got it as part of Keto Krate as a sample).

Yes the packaging is horrible. I don't mind the taste however, and a good snack when you are doing keto.

Same thought. How do you eat this thing called Fat Shot? There is one for coffee too which I assume you put into your coffee.

I just got this and am confused as well. Sad that it op saw this issue 6 months ago and Adapt hasn't clarified.

On Adapt's web site they have "To enjoy our FatShots, they can be eaten as is by simply tear, squeeze and enjoy, or the FatShots can be added to yoghurt or other low carb deserts."

On the box it says "HOT DRINK FLAVORING".

For $1.80 you get 13g of fat.
Great as a snack because it has only 3g carb and 3g protein.
Tough to find things with fat > carb + protein.

As a hot drink flavoring I'll pass.
MCT is much less expensive.
As a Poor Man's solution even Bulletproof C8 Brain Octane is only $.71 for a tablespoon and provides 14g fat(no carb or protein).
