A typical packed lunch.

I pack my lunch when I go to work a lot. It's fast easy and saves me quite a bit of money than eating out. Along with this I don't have a very long lunch break so it seems to make sense that I should just bring something. So what does that look like? Well ...

Ham and cheese wrap on Flatout - 9g carbs

Low sugar Detour Bar - 3g carbs

String cheese - <1g carb

Usually a fancy water or a Coke Zero - 0g carbs

So it's nothing fancy, but it can be done. What do you guys like to do?

I'll have to research flatout.

Lunch is difficult. It's when I most want a real sandwich.

I sometimes bring various lunch meats to dip into wasabi mayo. I don't do lettuce wraps - that just turns into a mess. If I've actually prepared a stew or have leftover steak I'll take that. I've also done things like chicken apple sausages and mustard.

One thing I do that I can recommend is buying at pretty low cost off of Amazon the little 1 or 2 ounce jello shot containers to put condiments into. Cheaper than packets and makes it easy to dip and the lids usually stay on pretty well (though I do place them in a rubbermaid container that seems to fit them perfectly.)

But still not a sandwich.

(Note: I started by just listing lunch, but got caught up with it and have added the full day's menu and made this worthy of it's own post!)

Today's lunch (Total = 14 carbs):
Low carb wrap with pork loin, lettuce and hot sauce = 7 carbs
Brussel sprout side-salad - 5 carbs (brussel sprouts, bacon, hazelnuts & broccoli florets, all diced together)
Cheese stick - 1 carb
Blue Diamond Smokehouse almonds -1 carb (14 nuts)
Crystal Light Liquid Ice Tea Mix - 0 carbs

Breakfast = 3 Carbs (3 strips turkey bacon, 2 eggs, chedder cheese, sugar-free maple syrup (yum!) & black coffee)

Dinner will be ~ 10 carbs - (stir-fry: tofu, bell peppers, onions, eggplant & chicken, minimal soy sauce)

Snack- 6 carbs = (Breyer's CarbSmart vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and a sugar free reece's pieces crumbled on top)

That's about 30-35 carbs for the day. At this level, I've been maintaining my current weight. (lost 20 pre-atkins, 65 on atkins, and 10 lbs to go....but need to add in exercise to make sure this is sustainable long-term)

Tim - have you been exercising along with the diet? Any suggestions? Have you ever written any posts about your exercise regimen throughout your weight-loss journey?

For easy, filling lunches for my hubby and I, I either buy a P3 or make my own from cubed ham, cubed cheese, and a bag of 100 calorie emerald dry roasted almonds.
